Day 1:

 

Arrive Cape Town in the morning make your way to the Sun1 Hotel, Foreshore(Sun1 hotel is an economy hotel in the Southern Sun/Tsogo Sun Group of hotels family) or Hotel on St Georges (3 star hotel). For those travelers who will be flying into Cape Town, you will get picked up from the airport (Airport shuttle option only - pls enquire. for us to arrange a shuttle we need your flight number andarrival time.) and shuttled to Sun1 Hotel. The rest of the morning will be at leisure to explore the city. 

At 14:00 your transport will pick you up from the hotel and shuttle you to the Clock Tower at the V&A Waterfront from where you will board a ferry to Robben Island. This is where the struggle icon and statesman Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters were incarcerated. You will be fascinated by the history of this iconic island. After the tour you may enjoy the V&A Waterfront with its many eateries and shops. Once you are done you may call the transport call centre to get a shuttle back to the hotel (transport on Day 1 is covered in the package and paid for)  The rest of the eveining will be at leisure for you to explore Cape Town's exciting nightlife of world class restaurants, nightclubs, live music venues.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 2:

 

After breakfast (only at Hotel on St Georges) take a leisurely walk to Cape Town International Convention Centre where you will board the Cape Town Red Sightseeing Tour Bus if you are staying at the Sun 1 Hotel, if you are at Hotel on St Georges please walk to corner Shortmarket and Long Strets where you will find the Sightseeng tour bus stop (Please redeem your vouchers for bus tickets at the Sightseeing bus tourism office or with the bus driver).

On this day you will go on a scenic tour of Cape Town on the Red City Tour and the Yellow Downtown Tour (you will get a booklet before boarding with all the informationon all the stops and a guide on how to use the bus and schedules) when the bus reaches Table Mountain please hop off to and experience the Table Mountain Cableway.

After the Table Mountain experience simply get onto the next Sightseeing bus that gets to the stop (buses reach all the stops every 15-20 minutes) and continue on your Cape Town adventure. Should you wish to soak up some of Cape Town’s popular beaches hop off at Camps Bay a vibrant, exciting beach with beachfront restaurants, a great tourist atmosphere and tons of activities to do, Clifton beach, another amazing beach hotspot is just nearby Camps Bay. Once you are done and ready to head back home simply hop on at the next sightseeing bus stop and head back to the Cape Town Convention Centre (if you are at Sun 1, if you stay at Hotel on St Georges get off at the stop at Shortmarket and Long Streets. From here you may walk back to the hotel or get Excite Cabs to drop you off at the hotel (transfer between Sun 1 Hotel and Cape Town Convention Centre (ICC) is R 30.00 per trip)

 

Should you still have some energy you may go on the Cape Town night tour which is also included in your package on the Sightseeing Bus. The tour takes you to Signal Hill where you can watch the Cape Town Sun go down while sipping on a good glass of wine. You may purchase a picnic basket for two @ R 220.00 (three course meal and a glass of wine) please enquire at the Sightseeing Bus tourism office. On your way back from the night tour, you may want to make a stop at one of the vibrant nightlife spots to party the night away. Please make sure that you have the Excite Taxi Cabs number handy to make transport arrangements once you are ready to go back to the hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 3:

 

After breakfast you may catch the sightseeing bus at the Cape Town International Convention Centre or Hotel on St Georges (walk to corner Shortmarket and Long Streets). Today you will do the Peninsula tour, the Blue Mini Peninsula tour, a scenic route through the Cape Penisula. You will also do the Purple Wine Tour which takes you through the Constantia wine route where you can do some wine tasting (tasting not covered in the package fees). You will also do a Harbour cruise taking you through some interesting sights. After your tours simply get off  the convention centre and walk or take a cab back to the hotel where the rest of the afternoon will be at leisure..

 

 

Day 4:

 

As this is your final day of the weekend getaway. After your final breakfast you may  get your luggage ready and check out of the hotel at 10:00 after a fun filled weekend of memories captured in memory and camera.

 

 

NB! Please note that this itinerary is just a guideline, it is however a recommended schedule for you to make the best of your time in Cape Town, you may choose to rearrange the tour to your preference. It is however important that you discuss your sightseeing tour preferences with the very knowledgeable sightseeing tour bus attendants and drivers for expert advise.

Self catering packages include 3 nights accommodation in well appointed and spacious serviced apartments with great facilities and amenities,

tickets for the Cape Town Sightseeing tour bus, city tours, wine estates (wine tasting is not covered in the package so guests will pay for the experience), sunset tour to signal hill, picnic and sundowner drinks (picnic baskets sold at the sightseeing bus tourist offices), boat cruise, the bus will take you to some of Cape Town's trendiest beaches. You simply hop on and hop off anywhere you like, there is a bus every 20 min so you just need to locate the closest sightseeing bus stop and continue on your sightseeing adventure.

 

Please note that Robben Island and Table Mountain Cableway tickets are not included in the package as the services are weather dependent. You can buy tickets for Table Mountain through the sightseeing tour bus offices or from the sightseeing bus driver only when you see that the weather is clear. Buying Table Mountain Cableway tickets this way helps you avoid long queues at Table Mountain.

 

Robben Island tickets you can buy on www.webtickets.co.za or at any pick n pay outlet. Please make sure that you buy the Robben Island tickets in advance to avoid finding the tours fully booked.

Bookings:

Bookings and other enquiries can be made by sending an e-mail to info@travelaffordable.co.za or through filling out the form on our bookings page please provide us with dates you would like to travel as well as number of people traveling.. A 50% deposit confirms and secures your booking. Please make sure that before making any payment you send us an email to alert us so that we can reconfirm the availability with the hotel. If all is well we would then give you a go-ahead to make payment. Upon booking request, an invoice will be sent to you for payment of deposit. Once your booking is confirmed, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. The payment balance, is to be made at least 7 days prior to date of travel. Minimum of 2 travelers on the package.

Transport:

Transport is available only in the destination city to shuttle you to all the tourist attractions listed as part of this package. Transport from destination of origin (Your home city) to arrival destination (Cape Town)) and back is not included in this package. This means that travelers will arrange their own transport to and from Cape Town. You may walk or catch a cab (for guest's own account) to the stop where you will  board the Red City Bus.The Red City sightseeing bus (hop on and hop off open top tour bus) can be boarded outside the Cape Town International Convention Centre or at Corner Shortmarket and Long Streets if you are staying at Hotel on St Georges. On your travel confirmation you will find all contact details for the transport operator's call centre. 

The only transport provided for in this package is the Red City Sightseeing bus which is the best way of getting around Cape Town, transport to and from the Clock tower is provided. all other transport such as cabs to connect you to the V&A Waterfront or to the Red city sightseeing bus will be for the guest's own account.
